Week 4 Done!!!

Week 4 of my half training is done. I finished off with 7 miles on the treadmill yesterday. It was literally a blizzard outside so I went with Jeremy to his gym (24hr fitness) put the kids in the day care and ran for an hour and a half. They had some pretty cool TM with personal mini tvs that i could hook my phone up to and p,ay my nexflixs. So I watched about 4 How I met your Mother episodes and tried not to watch the time a d miles go ever so slowly.

The forecast for next weekend is suppose to be in the 40 with sun so I am really hoping I can run out side next week cause the many miles on the TM was pure evil.

I did not run on Monday so I did Mondays run on Thursday night while Levi was at hockey. It was really had to run 4 days in a row and I was pretty stiff and sore going into my run on Saturday. But today is Sunday and I feel ready to get back at it tomorrow. I hope I don't miss any more days cause making days up is hard and the training schedule is working for me.

I don't have any pictures this week cause all my runs were inside.

Running in Idaho

I got in two runs while I was ID. On Saturday I ran for 7 miles with out stopping. I felt like I was on top of the world. It was so nice to run outside and not worry about the kids cause they were well taken care of with Jeremy and Nanna.
I was suppose to run 3 miles today but it was freezing and we were trying to pack up to leave. So I will probably run tomorrow.

Week Three Day 2

Week 3 day 2 of the half Mary training.
I woke up from a very restless night sleep and had a bad sore throat.
Went to the gym and ran 4 miles and walked one mile.
I felt better after my workout.

Tomorrow we are going to Idaho for a long weekend. I will have to run while I am there and I am a little nervous about fitting in the runs.

Today I started week 3 of my half marathon training. The training called for a 3 mile run.
I went to the gym and got on the Treadmill. I walked a quarter mile warm up and ran the first mile in 10 mins. Than mile 2 I ran in 9:13. Mile 3 I ran in 8 mins!!! I have never ever ran a mile that fast!! I am so proud of myself. I than walked .75 miles to cool down.
I have been using my short weekday runs (I never ever thought I would call 3-4 miles short) to work on my speed and it looks like it is paying off.
57 days till the SLC half marathon.

Chasing Cupid 5k

I have started this new blog to document my fitness life.
I have lost almost 35 lbs in the last year.
I am 30 years old
Married for 7 years
Two boys 6 and 3
One dog and two cats
I have a love hate relatshonship  with running.
My goal is to run 13 races in 2013.
I have run two so far this year.

Today I ran a 5k in the snow. It was called the Chasing Cupid fun run. It was not timed but my phone app said I finished in 31:05. I was happy with that time cause of the cold and snow and most of the course was very slippery. Some of my friends were there with me. I did not run with them cause they are just starting their running journey and they walked some. But it was fun to have them there at the start and finish.
